Blockstation – Um Novo CEO

Toronto based Blockstation has just anunciou a change in leadership.  Cofounder and CTO, Jai Waterman, has officially transitioned in to the role of CEO.  The role of CEO was formerly held by Marko Hafez, who also cofounded the company.

Upon announcing the transition, Waterman stated, “I am incredibly energized by our success in tokenized securities as well as our entry into lucrative markets such as mortgage-backed securities and carbon credits…We will deliver tremendous value to our shareholders, strategic partners and customers as we continue to accelerate the development of the company’s core technology, introducing new levels of security, transparency and efficiency to regulated trading marketplaces.”

Blockstation indicates that this change in leadership comes as it gears up for coming expansion, and a fresh capital raise.

Beyond this most recent update from Blockstation, we have highlighted its exploits on various occasions – most recently when it anunciou a Master Agreement with the Barbados Stock Exchange (BSE).  This agreement saw the BSE fully adopt Blockstation as it looks to build out its own, “…blockchain-driven tokenized securities marketplace.”

Tokeny – Uma Parceria Estratégica

In an effort to make digital securities more accessible to European investors, a pair of companies have recently anunciado a strategic partnership – Tokeny and Assetera.

The pair state that, “With this partnership, Assetera will become a liquidity venue compatible with DINO, the global distribution network for tokenized private assets, leveraging the ERC3643 protocol, to provide European investors with diversified global assets and facilitate liquidity.”

Beyond adopting the increasingly popular ERC3643 token standard, it is noted that the partnership will allow for a “solução única” experience.

Securitize – Um Trio de Fundos Tokenizados

Without a doubt, Securitize is one of the most well-known and influential names when discussing digital securities.  It has managed to achieve this through years of development, partnerships, and registration/licensing acquisitions.  The última notícia to come from Securitize involves Hamilton Lane (HLNE ) – a company already well known as a traditional global investment firm.  The pair have recently announced that investors will soon have easier access to a trio of funds managed by Hamilton Lane, as they are set to undergo tokenization by Securitize.

Securitize CEO, Carlos Domingo, commented on the importance of this development, stating, “Hamilton Lane offers some of the best-performing private markets products available, but historically they have been limited to institutional investors. Tokenization now makes it possible for individual investors to participate in private equity value creation for the first time in a digitally native way…We are at the beginning of a process through which individual investors can access the same kinds of opportunities as university endowments or sovereign wealth funds, and that is very exciting.”

The pair also took the time to highlight a few key reasons why such tokenization efforts are the way forward.
