Coinbase Google와 파트너십 체결 – 클라우드 서비스, Web3 개발 등에 암호화폐 결제 도입 예정

Only one day after 발표한 싱가포르 통화청(MAS)으로부터 국가 내 운영에 대한 규제 승인을 획득한 성공을, Coinbase는 더욱 큰 소식을 발표했습니다 – Google과의 장기 파트너십.

광범위한 범위

The details of this partnership released so far indicate that while its focus is on Web3 development, its scope will be broad.  This will not simply be one company utilizing a single service on offer by the other.  Rather, each Coinbase and Google intend on various levels of integration, in addition to joint development of certain services.

Coinbase CEO, Brian Armstrong, states, “우리는 Google Cloud가 Coinbase를 선택해 새로운 사용자층에게 Web3를 제공하고 개발자에게 강력한 솔루션을 제공하게 된 것을 기쁘게 생각합니다… 1억 명이 넘는 인증된 사용자와 14,500개의 기관 고객을 보유한 Coinbase는 블록체인 기술 위에 업계 최고의 제품을 구축하는 데 10년 이상을 투자해 왔습니다. 우리는 Web3 생태계로 가는 신뢰할 수 있는 다리를 구축한다는 비전을 실행하는 데 더 좋은 파트너를 바랄 수 없습니다.”

In its communications, Coinbase elaborated on 4 areas in particular which make up this partnership.  These include,

• 선정된 Google Cloud 고객은 암호화폐로 서비스 비용을 지불하거나 받을 수 있게 됩니다
• 개발자는 Google Cloud 블록체인 데이터에 접근할 수 있습니다
• Google은 “…기관용 암호화폐 서비스, 예를 들어 안전한 보관 및 보고를 위해 Coinbase Prime을 사용할 것입니다”
• Coinbase는 “…Google Cloud의 강력한 컴퓨팅 플랫폼을 사용해 대규모로 블록체인 데이터를 처리하고, Google의 프리미엄 광섬유 네트워크를 활용해 암호화폐 서비스의 글로벌 도달 범위를 확대할 것입니다”

While Google Cloud has already established various partnerships over the past few months, as it increased its presence with regards to Web3 development, this most recent involving Coinbase is clearly the most expansive.

Google Cloud CEO, Thomas Kurian, states, “우리는 Web3 구축을 더 빠르고 쉽게 만들고자 하며, Coinbase와의 파트너십이 개발자들이 그 목표에 한 걸음 더 다가가도록 돕습니다… Coinbase가 Google Cloud를 전략적 클라우드 파트너로 선택한 것을 자랑스럽게 생각하며, 번성하는 글로벌 Web3 고객 및 파트너 생태계를 지원할 준비가 되어 있습니다. 우리의 초점은 모든 고객이 확장성, 신뢰성, 보안 및 데이터 서비스를 활용하는 데 마찰을 없애는 것이며, 이를 통해 Web3 분야에서 혁신에 집중할 수 있도록 하는 것입니다”

Notably, this partnership will see Coinbase transition various used services to Google Cloud from main competitor Amazon Web Services.

멈출 수 없다

As previously stated, this partnership announcement involving Google Cloud is just the latest in a string of positive developments involving Coinbase.  Perhaps intentionally, these announcements (i.e. expanding in to Australia) are coming at a convenient time, potentially overshadowing an ongoing probe into the company’s operations by the SEC.

Regardless, it is clear that Coinbase remains a juggernaut within the digital asset sector, unable to be stopped by such hurdles.
