SeedInvest is a New York based company which specializes as a crowdfunding platform.  Since launch, SeedInvest indicates that they have facilitated over $150 million worth of investments, from over 250,000 individuals.

The SeedInvest platform works by providing investors with access to pre-vetted opportunities.  For the companies hosting their events through the platform, they gain access to a larger pool of investors.

Beyond investing in individual opportunities, SeedInvest provides services allowing for ‘auto-investing'.  This allows investors to gain exposure to a variety of opportunities that interest them, providing risk mitigation through diversification.

SeedInvest was recently acquired by Circle – the boston based, blockchain focused brainchild of Jeremy Allaire.  This acquisition brought SeedInvest into the same stable as Poloniex, USDC stablecoin, and more.
