Umee is a base layer blockchain that was created to seek interoperability with other blockchains and to address some of the issues that are plaguing the DeFi ecosystem. Thanks to the interoperability of the Tendermint PoS consensus mechanism that Umee is using, its blockchain is very easy to integrate with other chains. So far, the project has already integrated with Cosmos and Ethereum, and it can do the same with any side chain, layer-two chains, and even alternative base-layer protocols.
