StockX Adds Klarna Installment Payments at Checkout in US and Canada

StockX buyers in the United States and Canada can now select Klarna at checkout, extending a payments partnership between the two companies that was already live across 10 European markets and Australia, Klarna announced on September 8, 2026. The integration is powered by Adyen.
StockX shoppers in the two countries gain access to Klarna’s interest-free pay in 4 product and its longer-term financing options. Klarna described the U.S. and Canada as two of StockX’s largest markets and said North American shoppers now receive the same payments experience already used by consumers across the platform’s global footprint.
StockX operates a marketplace for sneakers, apparel, accessories, electronics, collectibles, and trading cards, connecting buyers and sellers of high-demand consumer goods through dynamic pricing mechanics and real-time data. Launched in 2016 and based in Detroit, the company states that it employs 1,000 people across offices and verification centers around the world. Its platform lists brands including Jordan Brand, adidas, Nike, Supreme, Louis Vuitton, and Gucci, alongside collectibles from LEGO, KAWS, Bearbrick, and Pop Mart and electronics from Sony, Microsoft, Meta, and Apple.
What StockX Shoppers Can Select
StockX’s help center documentation confirms that Klarna is available to buyers in the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, and select European countries, with availability varying by region. To use it, buyers select Klarna Pay Later or Pay Over Time at checkout on the Buy Now screen.
Under the documented terms, pay in 4 splits a purchase into four interest-free installments paid every two weeks at 0% interest and is available in the U.S., Australia, and Canada. Klarna financing breaks the cost of a purchase into monthly payments over 6- to 24-month terms and is available in the U.S. and Canada as well as Austria, Finland, and Germany. In the U.S., monthly financing through Klarna is issued by WebBank, and loans to California residents are made or arranged pursuant to a California Financing Law license, the documentation states.
Other Klarna products documented on StockX remain limited to markets outside North America. Pay in 30 days, an interest-free option, is available in Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and the UK, while pay in 3 — three interest-free installments paid every 30 days — is available in France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, and the UK.
Klarna joins a group of installment providers already documented on the marketplace. StockX’s help center lists Affirm for U.S. and Canadian buyers on orders between $50 and $30,000, Cash App Afterpay in the U.S., Australia, and the UK on orders between $50 and $30,000, and PayPal Pay Later in the U.S., Australia, and the UK with product-specific purchase ranges. StockX displays available options on the Buy Now screen when a buyer is eligible.
Executives on the Expansion
“StockX has been a strong partner in Europe and Australia, and we’re excited to bring that same experience to shoppers in the U.S. and Canada,” said Lisa Robinson, Head of Partner Success, US East Coast and Canada at Klarna.
Peter Curran, senior vice president of global business operations at StockX, said expanding the partnership into the U.S. and Canada means more people can purchase on payment terms that work for them.
Klarna said the launch comes as resale continues to grow as a mainstream way to shop, driven in part by consumers who see buying second hand as both a smarter way to spend and a more sustainable one. Curran framed the integration around access, pointing to products buyers may have tracked for months or discovered minutes earlier.
Klarna reports more than 120 million global active users, 3.8 million transactions per day, and a network of over 1.2 million retailers, including Uber, H&M, Saks, Sephora, Macy’s (M ), Ikea, Expedia Group, Nike, and Airbnb. The company, which characterizes itself as an everyday finance network, is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker KLAR.
