BlackSky Technology Inc. (BKSY ) said on September 30, 2026, that it is the first satellite imagery provider for SkyFi’s “Satellite Intelligence,” a Robinhood Agent App expected to be available in the coming weeks that will deliver AI analytics and Earth observation data sets built from BlackSky’s rapid-revisit, very high-resolution imagery to retail investors. Robinhood lists Satellite Intelligence by SkyFi as coming soon at $10 per month in its Agent Apps lineup.

BlackSky said the integration makes what it describes as defense-grade geospatial intelligence of facilities associated with major publicly traded companies accessible to retail investors through the Robinhood Agent Apps ecosystem.

“By delivering BlackSky’s real-time intelligence to SkyFi for its Robinhood Agent App, we are giving retail investors actionable insights from space,” said Brian O’Toole, BlackSky’s CEO. He said the company’s dynamic monitoring constellation was purpose-built to deliver rapid-revisit, very high-resolution imagery within a fraction of traditional timelines, and that the same capability that serves defense and intelligence agencies can now let individual market participants monitor economic activity as it happens.

SkyFi CEO Luke Fischer said investors want direct answers from satellites, citing questions such as how many trucks were at a fulfillment hub last week or how much construction progress has been made at a data center build site since last month. He said monitoring economic activity has largely been accessible only to institutions with large data budgets, and that working with Robinhood, SkyFi will put that category of satellite intelligence in front of individual customers through their agent.

“We spent the past year making SkyFi callable by any AI agent over MCP, so a question goes straight to orbit and comes back as an image with a number and date on it,” Fischer said. He added that SkyFi delivers an image, an analysis, and the time it was captured, that what a customer does with it is theirs to decide, and that Robinhood is the first place these workflows will appear at scale.

The Data Sets Behind the App

According to BlackSky, subscribers will interact with AI agents to access four recurring observational data sets monitoring sites associated with Robinhood’s top traded stock symbols. The data sets track vehicle production, e-commerce fulfillment hub logistics, data center construction, and theme park attendance.

A sample SkyFi Satellite Intelligence AI analytics data set distributed with the announcement shows truck and trailer counts derived from BlackSky imagery collected over Wilmington, Delaware, on September 21, 2026.

The app relies on BlackSky Spectra, which the company says automates satellite tasking, image processing, and AI feature extraction in under 90 minutes from collection. BlackSky describes the constellation as capable of delivering low-latency 35 cm resolution to isolate vehicles, infrastructure assets, and materials, with time-diverse collection and hourly revisits capturing dynamic operational activity and change throughout the day.

BlackSky said the integration underscores its expansion into commercial data distribution, translating what it called its core strength in time-dominant national security applications into immediate value for the broader digital economy.

Robinhood Agent Apps and the Underlying Partnership

Robinhood introduced Agent Apps in a September 29, 2026, newsroom post from HOOD Summit 2026 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, describing them as a layer of intelligence that gives Robinhood Agents access to what the company called institutional-grade data and specialized tools from third-party providers. Subscribers can add premium data sources and tools from 11 participating companies, and Robinhood said every Agent App will come with a one-month free trial. Satellite Intelligence by SkyFi is listed among the apps as coming soon, and Robinhood said Agents and Agent Apps are coming soon to eligible U.S. customers.

Robinhood said it launched agentic trading in May and that more than 150,000 customers have opened agentic trading accounts since, with agents now using its tools almost 30 million times a day. The company said Robinhood Agents and its supporting technology are provided by Robinhood Labs, LLC, a technology company that is not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, futures commission merchant, or money transmitter and that does not provide investment advice or recommendations.

The app integration builds on a partnership SkyFi announced on September 24, 2026, which is bringing tasking of BlackSky’s Gen-3 and Gen-2 satellites directly into the SkyFi platform through a connection to BlackSky Spectra with no minimum purchase commitment. SkyFi said the Gen-3 constellation delivers 35 cm native resolution at nadir while Gen-2 captures 85 cm-class imagery, with both available for point tasking across day and night collection windows.

SkyFi said BlackSky’s constellation supports multiple revisits per day at many latitudes with an average collect-to-delivery latency of 90 minutes or less, and that orders that fail cloud-cover or quality thresholds are automatically retasked within the original collection window. The Austin, Texas-based company described BlackSky as one of the few commercial providers offering nighttime optical tasking and said the partnership continues the expansion of a provider network that includes more than 300 satellite and analytics sources.

BlackSky is headquartered in Herndon, Virginia, and trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol BKSY. SkyFi operates an AI-first Earth intelligence platform offering archived satellite imagery, new tasking, and built-in geospatial analytics for civilian and defense work through its web platform, mobile app, and developer APIs. BlackSky’s announcement notes that Robinhood is a trademark of Robinhood Markets, Inc. (HOOD ) and that SkyFi is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by Robinhood beyond the app integration described.
