Palantir Awards L3Harris $53 Million TITAN Production Contract

L3Harris Technologies (LHX ) disclosed on November 2, 2026 that Palantir Technologies (PLTR ) awarded it a definitized $53 million contract in September 2026 for Production Phase IV of the U.S. Army’s Tactical Intelligence Targeting Access Node (TITAN) program. L3Harris characterized the award as the program’s formal transition from prototype maturation into full production.
The vehicles had arrived at its Salt Lake City facility and work was underway. Palantir selected the company earlier in 2026 as Lead System Integrator, with system-level integration and testing centered at that facility. Its production work covers both Advanced and Basic variants through integration, testing, acceptance and delivery. Shawn Miller, president of Spectrum Superiority within Communications & Spectrum Dominance, said, “We expect delivery of the initial vehicles in early 2027.”
Production Roles And System Scope
L3Harris serves as lead communications systems integrator, providing tactical multi-domain waveforms; positioning, navigation and timing; and satellite communications. Palantir leads the software and artificial-intelligence layer. In Palantir’s production announcement, the company said that, as prime contractor, it oversees manufacturing and delivery across the full system and provides the software.
Palantir describes TITAN as a crewed ground station with access to Space, High Altitude, Aerial and Terrestrial sensors, providing actionable targeting information for mission command and long-range precision fires. The Advanced variant delivers greater processing and integration capability, while the Basic variant is built for mobility and rapid deployment.
The system’s user-management interface gives operators a single, unified view for managing multiple simultaneous network and data connections. L3Harris also said the companies’ work had reduced the analysis burden required to support missions.
Army Production Orders And Prototype History
On September 1, 2026, the Army’s Capability Program Executive Intelligence and Spectrum Warfare announced TITAN’s move to production through two contract delivery orders totaling $192 million as of August 31, 2026. It valued Palantir’s award at $127 million and Anduril Industries’ award at $65 million. Together, the orders cover procurement and integration of eight initial production systems—four Advanced and four Basic—scheduled for delivery over the following 18 months. Those systems will join nine prototype units the Army retains for operational use.
The Army named Palantir as the overall production leader, joined by L3Harris, Sierra Nevada Corporation, Strategic Technology Consulting and World Wide Technology to provide capabilities and technologies. Anduril will deliver critical hardware components and execute shelter integration under its award.
On March 6, 2024, the Army Contracting Command–Aberdeen Proving Ground announced Palantir’s Phase 3 Other Transaction Agreement for the development and delivery of TITAN prototypes. The $178.4 million agreement covered 10 prototypes (five Advanced and five Basic) and the integration of new critical technologies.
The Army selected Palantir as the preferred vendor after a competitive prototyping phase in which it delivered an Advanced prototype based on operational requirements and feedback from Soldier Touch Points. The prototypes were evaluated at a capstone demonstration during the competition.
The Army’s September production announcement said an additional TITAN production order was anticipated in fiscal 2027.
