Eyeing Security Tokens
BnkToTheFuture have eyed up security tokens, and they like what they see. It was just announced that the popular investment platform has dove head first into the sector with an investment in blockchain consultants firm, Diacle.
This isn’t the first time that these two companies have been affiliated with one another. The two worked together on the launch, and release, of BnkToTheFuture’s very own token – BFT.
This new investment will see the pair place an increased focus towards, both, the United Kingdom and European markets.
It was only a matter of time before developments of this nature took place. Months ago, BnkToTheFuture gave us a look into their own future intent and ambitions. This was done through an under-the-radar licensing of software, which will be used to help the company develop their own security token exchange.
Simon Dixon, CEO of BnkToTheFuture, stated,
“In 2010 we started our mission to allow investors to buy equity in companies building the future of finance. We provided an opportunity for our community to invest online in a handful of unicorns and cryptocurrency exchanges. We see a similar trend with security tokens and together with Diacle we have built the infrastructure to allow for compliant security token offerings. Our investment in Diacle was designed to align our interests so we can drive the sector forward faster with two proven teams that have track records of bringing crypto-based security offerings to market.”
John Thompson, CEO of Diacle, stated,
“We are really excited to work with BnkToTheFuture as a strategic investor to build the next wave of disruption coming to capital markets. Diacle has been helping crypto & blockchain projects with licensing, compliance and financing since 2013 and look forward to working with BnkToTheFuture much more closely to bring token-based corporate finance to a much deeper pool of investors as the industry grows.”
Operating out of the United States, BnkToTheFuture, was founded in 2011. Above all, the company operates as an investment platform, facilitating various types of token generation events. Companies that have benefited from their services include various noteworthy names such as Factom, Securitize, and more.
