The metaverse is continuing to grow throughout 2022, with new projects emerging, and the existing ones constantly improving, growing, and establishing new partnerships and connections. The most recent example of this comes from BAYZ, which just joined Yield Guild Games’ (YGG) network in order to become its Brazil-focused subDAO.
According to the Yield Guild Games’ announcement, BAYZ will help bring the metaverse to the next billion people — a whole new generation of blockchain gamers. Furthermore, the project seems very confident in BAYZ, noting that it features world-class talent and that it will deliver nothing but the best.

BAYZ joins YGG
Yield Guild Games also published a Medium post, offering further details on the new partnership that was announced only yesterday, July 4th. The post explains that BAYZ itself is a gaming DAO with world-class support staff, content creation, and eSports operations. The project is joining YGG network, and with its support, BAYZ will act as a subDAO for the Brazilian community.
Furthermore, BAYZ will be empowered to fulfill a mission of acquiring and renting out some of the top assets across different P2E games to players throughout Brazil. At the same time, it will also serve as a leading Web3 game publisher that will bring numerous new games to the Americas.
How can BAYZ impact the gaming sector in Brazil
P2E gaming is becoming increasingly popular in Brazil, mostly because this is the largest country in South America with over 214 million people, and over 11.9 million unemployed individuals. At this point, the unemployment rate sits at around 11.1%, which is forcing many to live in poverty.
However, these people have found that gaming is one way to fight poverty and make earnings, primarily due to eSports. With blockchain gaming employing the play-to-earn model, this means that gamers can actually make money simply by playing games professionally. Earning through gaming has already led Brazil to become the 12th largest gaming market in the world, and the largest by far in South America. Its eSports industry is booming, and mobile eSports has seen huge growth over the last several years. In fact, as of 2021, it had 88.4 million players.
The current situation puts BAYZ in a perfect position to onboard the unemployed and bring them into the world of blockchain gaming, with the promise of P2E model that can provide gamers with a great time playing new and exciting games, while also allowing them to earn while doing so. In fact, the project is working hard to introduce P2E to Brazilian gamers and non-gamers alike, as a way of offering extra income and improving their living conditions, which is especially important now, as the country is still recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition, BAYZ offers more than just games and the ability to earn — there are also numerous NFT assets from different games, educational content, and more.
