SoftBank Group Declares ¥5.50 Interim Dividend Payable December 2

SoftBank Group Corp. announced on October 23, 2026 that its Board of Directors resolved the distribution of an interim dividend from surplus of 5.50 yen per share, with a record date of September 30, 2026 and a payable date of December 2, 2026. The total cash dividend is 31,346 million yen, drawn from retained earnings. The company stated that the per-share amount is in line with the dividend forecast published in its Consolidated Financial Report for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026, dated May 13, 2026.
Dividend Terms and Prior-Payment Comparison
The announcement’s comparison table lists the latest forecast, as of May 13, 2026, as the same as the resolved record date and per-share amount. Total cash dividend amounts in the release are rounded off to the nearest unit.
For the prior fiscal year, ended March 31, 2026, the company paid an interim dividend of 22.00 yen per share with a record date of September 30, 2025, totaling 31,342 million yen and paid on December 2, 2025, and a year-end dividend of 5.50 yen per share with a record date of March 31, 2026, totaling 31,344 million yen and paid on June 25, 2026. Both were drawn from retained earnings.
The fiscal 2026 interim figure is presented on a pre-share-split basis. SoftBank Group conducted a four-for-one ordinary share split effective January 1, 2026, and according to the announcement the total annual dividend per share for the year ended March 31, 2026 is not presented because it cannot be simply aggregated due to the split. On a post-share-split basis, the interim dividend for that year equals 5.50 yen per share and the annual dividend equals 11.00 yen per share. The May 13 financial report adds that, if the share split were not considered, the annual dividend for that year would be 44.00 yen per share.
According to the Consolidated Financial Report for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026, the record date for the split was December 31, 2025; because that day was a non-business day for the shareholder registry administrator, the effective record date was December 30, 2025, and common stock held by shareholders listed or recorded in the final register of shareholders as of the end of that day was split at a ratio of four for one. The report states the split was conducted “to make its shares more accessible to investors and further expand its shareholder base.”
Full-Year Framework and Fiscal 2026 Results

The October 23 resolution sets the interim portion of that plan.
On April 28, 2026, the Board resolved to submit the fiscal 2026 year-end dividend of 5.50 yen per share to the 46th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders scheduled for June 24, 2026; that figure matched the company’s latest forecast as of November 11, 2025. The May 13 report lists total annual dividends of 63,463 million yen for fiscal 2025 and 62,686 million yen for fiscal 2026, with consolidated payout ratios of 5.6% and 1.3% and ratios of dividends to equity attributable to owners of the parent of 0.6% and 0.4%, respectively.

The number of shares issued, including treasury stock, was 5,711,848,120 as of March 31, 2026. The report states that per-share figures are calculated assuming the share split had been conducted at the beginning of the previous consolidated fiscal year.
The report also states: “The Company does not provide forecasts of consolidated results of operations as they are difficult to project due to numerous uncertainties affecting earnings.” The consolidated financial report is not subject to audit procedures by certified public accountants or an auditing firm, the report notes.
