Meta Launches Meta One Subscription Plans From $2.99 to $499 Monthly

Meta Platforms (META ) on September 15, 2026, introduced Meta One, a subscription service spanning Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Meta AI with paid plans for individuals, creators, and businesses priced from $2.99 to $499 per month in US dollars, according to Meta’s announcement.
Meta said Meta One plans are rolling out gradually, with more than 50 features launched and 15 million subscriptions and trials to-date. “The core experience across our apps and Meta AI has always been free, and that’s not changing,” the company stated, adding that subscriptions unlock more specialized capabilities and expanded AI usage. The service launches with more than 50 features across the four apps and will expand to Edits, AI glasses, and more over time.
Subscription Plans and AI Features
Earlier in 2026, Meta launched Meta One single-product plans: Instagram Plus, Facebook Plus, and WhatsApp Plus. The company said those plans are seeing strong retention and that it is continuing to grow them. Instagram Plus recently added custom direct-message and Story fonts, notifications when certain people view a Story, and DM previews. Facebook Plus is adding customization options for Messenger, more Reels insights, and expanded super reactions to Reels and Feed posts. WhatsApp Plus will soon test storage for chat and media backups and Focus Schedules, which mute or hide chats on a schedule.
When Meta launched Instagram Plus earlier this year, the Instagram Plus launch announcement listed a feature set that included Story Spotlight, which gives a story priority for friends; Super Hearts, animated hearts sent to celebrate friends’ stories; Multiple Story Audiences, for sharing stories with selected audience lists; Story Extend, which keeps a story live for 48 hours; Story Preview; Story Rewatch Insights; Search Viewer List; a Custom App Icon; a Custom Bio Font; up to six profile pins; and Post Directly to Profile.
Meta One’s Core and Premium bundle plans combine the single-product features with more usage of what Meta described as some of its most compute-intensive AI capabilities. That includes more media generation with Meta AI, including creating and editing images and generating videos powered by the company’s Muse models, and more use of in-app AI tools such as Restyle on Instagram. Meta AI will remain free for everyday use; Meta said Core and Premium are intended for people who want more creative freedom from its AI tools. In early testing, the company said, more than half of subscribers engaged with both AI and expression features in the bundled plans, with AI features like Restyle and voice effects on Instagram among the top reasons people subscribed.
Meta One creator and business plans place professional tools and AI inside the existing apps, without requiring a new account or a new app. Features include an enhanced profile that showcases a website, locations, and what people say about the business; a bold follow button on reels; and follow invitations sent automatically to people who engage with content. The plans also include more access to Meta Business Agent to respond to customers day and night.
Meta said it will continue to add features and agent skills built to help small businesses and creators with end-to-end marketing, business operations, content creation, and optimization. It will soon bring Edits Plus to Meta One, a new product plan offering more cloud storage to sync and access projects across devices, plus additional usage of the upcoming Edits assistant, which helps analyze Instagram insights and brainstorm ideas.
