Klarna to Offer Flexible Payments on Fiserv’s Enterprise Commerce Hub

Klarna Group plc (KLAR ) announced on October 19, 2026 that its payment options will be available for the first time on Commerce Hub, Fiserv’s enterprise commerce platform, enabling enterprise merchants in the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and select European markets to offer Klarna both in-store and online. The agreement follows Klarna’s launch during the week of the announcement at 100,000 U.S. in-store merchant locations through Clover, Fiserv’s point-of-sale platform for small businesses. The release was datelined New York and distributed via Business Wire.
Under the arrangement, consumers can pay in full immediately, pay in 30 days, or split purchases into interest-free installments, with Commerce Hub bringing those options to enterprise merchants across in-store and online checkout. Klarna called the agreement a meaningful step in its strategy of building distribution partnerships to grow its network.
“We’re rapidly expanding Klarna’s footprint in physical retail, now live in 100,000 physical locations across the U.S. through Clover,” said David Sykes, Chief Commercial Officer at Klarna. “Deepening our integration with Fiserv’s Commerce Hub allows us to support merchants across channels. We’re giving consumers clear, flexible ways to pay, with a new credit decision made on every transaction.”
“Consumers expect flexibility wherever they shop, and merchants need technology that enables consistent experiences across every channel,” said Sanjay Saraf, Chief Product Officer, Merchant Solutions, Fiserv. “By expanding our partnership with Klarna through Clover and Commerce Hub, we’re helping businesses offer more payment choice, connect their in-store and digital experiences, drive growth and customer loyalty.”
Inside Commerce Hub
Fiserv describes Commerce Hub as a single, modular, cloud-native platform through which merchants access and orchestrate payments, financial services, terminals, data, fraud tools, payment optimization and value-added capabilities. According to the company’s Commerce Hub product page, the platform supports commerce across digital, mobile, in-store and emerging channels, and its modular architecture is designed to let merchants activate new services, payment methods and commerce features without rebuilding core integrations. Merchants can connect through plugins on e-commerce platforms such as Adobe Commerce, through hosted checkout tools, through a single Fiserv mobile software development kit, or through direct API integration.
The Clover Rollout to 100,000 Locations
The Commerce Hub agreement extends a partnership Klarna and Clover formalized on April 15, 2025, when the companies announced a signed agreement to auto-enable Klarna’s flexible payment options into shops and service businesses across the United States, with initial plans to enable over 100,000 merchant locations. At the time, the companies said in-store shoppers at select Clover-powered merchants would see a Klarna logo on the pre-screen of payment devices, with a larger rollout to new and existing Clover merchants slated for early 2026. The partners also said they aimed to expand the arrangement into e-commerce payments and additional geographic markets.
In that April 2025 release, Sykes said Klarna had changed how people pay online and was now changing how they pay everywhere, and that Clover gave small businesses a new way to grow. Jennifer LaClair, then Head of Merchant Solutions at Fiserv, said Clover would leverage its presence across U.S. services and retail to engage consumers before, during and after checkout. The release described Clover as a Fiserv brand and a one-stop shop for small-business payment needs, and noted that Klarna’s payment methods range from immediate debit payments, which Klarna said make up one in four global transactions, to interest-free installment options.
Klarna’s developer documentation for the Clover integration states that Clover acts as acquirer and processor for Klarna in-store transactions, managing merchant onboarding, compliance and settlement, while Klarna provides Pay in full, Installments and Financing options. The documentation describes the setup as plug-and-play: Klarna appears as a payment option on the Clover terminal once activated, requires no SDK integration or custom development, and authorizes payments in real time. Supported Clover devices listed in the documentation are the Compact, Flex, Flex Pocket, Mini, Station Solo, Station Duo and Kiosk. Klarna’s Clover partner page presents the arrangement as offering Klarna directly on Clover devices for a faster in-store checkout, with flexible payment methods including immediate debit and interest-free installments at the point of sale.
Klarna reported in the announcement that it has more than 120 million global active users and 3.8 million transactions per day, and that over 1.2 million retailers use its solutions, among them Uber, H&M, Saks, Sephora, Macy’s (M ), Ikea, Expedia Group, Nike and Airbnb. Consumers can pay with Klarna online, in-store and through Apple Pay and Google Pay. Klarna is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker KLAR, and Fiserv trades on the Nasdaq under the ticker FISV. Klarna categorized the announcement as partnership news.
