Phantasma envisions itself as a ‘one-stop shop’ for NFTs, gaming, and dApps. While it boasts similar abilities to many likeminded blockchains, one feature that sets Phantasma apart is its ability to mint ‘smart NFTs’. These are non-fungible assets that can have enhanced features built in. This could take shape as a growing creature, or the ability for multiple NFTs to work together as one (pieces of a transformer coming together to form a new entity).
Phantasma not only brings increased functionality to NFTs, it does so in ‘green’ fashion, with the intent on becoming carbon neutral. It hopes to do so through a strategic partnership with Save Planet Earth – a company facilitating reforestation.
Within the Phantasma ecosystem, governance tokens known as ‘SOUL’ are put to use. With hard-cap of 94 million, these tokens provide holders with not only the ability to stake, but to vote on project proposals.
SOUL tokens do not function alone though – Phantasma is a dual token system. The second token put to use is known as ‘KCAL’, and functions as a means of payment for transactions on the network. It is also given as a reward to those who stake their SOUL holdings.

Uniswap
Uniswap is a decentralized exchange (DEX) for swapping tokens, which uses an automated market maker (AMM) model that allows users to trade against a liquidity pool. While this is obviously a good option to purchase Phantasma (SOUL), we only recommend this platform for advanced users. Due to the fact that this is exchange is decentralized, you are liable for any losses due to errors made.
Learning to use decentralized exchanges is not for the faint of heart. We recommend KuCoin instead.
