Launched in early 2020, MDEX (MDX) is a DEX (decentralized exchange) that uses an AMM (automated market making) protocol. To differentiate itself from competing DEXs it uses a dual-chain that is modeled on both the Ethereum network and the HTX Ecological Chain (HECO). This technique gives MDEX access to the liquidity of the Ethereum ecosystem. Similar to other exchanges such as Binance, MDEX’s is intending to drive up the value of its token by following a “repurchase and burn” model. The intended effect is to decrease the supply of the MDX token over time, driving up its value.
